City shorts: K3 & Advanced Medical Solutions
SALFORD-based K3, which provides and supports software, hosting and managed services to the retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors, is celebrating a major contract win for its “axlis fashion” solution with K – Mail Order GmbH & Co (KLiNGEL), one of Germany’s largest online fashion retailers.
The contract has been secured through AIM-listed K3’s channel partner network and the company says it will help to underpin the results for the current financial year and generate ongoing revenues from software licence and support renewals.
It is K3’s second channel partner win in Germany, following the agreement with TriStyle Mode GmbH (TriStyle) announced on September 15, and has been secured through a new channel partner relationship.

CHESHIRE-based Advanced Medical Solutions Group, the surgical and advanced wound care specialist company, has the FDA in the US has approved two new product claims for the octyl formulation product LiquiBand Exceed giving it a competitive advantage in the treatment of wounds.
The claims will allow the Winsford-headquartered AIM listed company and its partners to differentiate LiquiBand Exceed around wound coverage, yield and reuse, providing clinicians with the ability to increase the usage of a single applicator, saving time and cost.
The two new claims include the use of a single device to cover wounds of up to 30cm, as well as a single device being suitable for intraoperative reuse for up to 90 minutes on a single patient. Both claims are unique FDA approved claims for the US topical skin adhesive market.
