NWF heading for par performance

AGRICULTURAL distribution specialist NWF Group, based in Nantwich, Cheshire, says it is on course to deliver results in linew with its prior trading year.

The Group’s half-year trading update until November 30 said the Feeds division was impacted by lower milk prices as expected and demand in autumn fell because of mild weather.

In Food, the business utilised overflow capacity to meet increased demand from customers. Service levels were maintained at 99.7% and the Wardle warehouse remains fully utilised.

Meanwhile, the Fuels division performed better than expected through the summer months, however it has yet to benefit from colder conditions and the resultant increased demand for heating oil.
 
Recent acquisitions of New Breed and Staffordshire Fuels have performed as expected and are being integrated as planned.
