People: Lawyer Dale heads to Together & more

LEADING banking partner Nigel Dale, is leaving Eversheds  to join specialist south Manchester-based lender, Together, as general counsel.

Dale has been head of the banking team at Eversheds in Manchester office for 20 years. He is rated as a leading individual in the Legal 500 and has been recommended in Chambers for more than two decades.

He said: “Having worked with Together in an advisory capacity for the last 15 years, I’m really pleased to join the company at this exciting time. The alternative finance sector is growing rapidly and Together is poised to capitalise on this thanks to its strong financial position and its appetite for both residential and commercial lending.”

Together’s chairman Mike McTighe added: “Nigel has established a formidable reputation and we’re thrilled to have him join us. We have ambitious plans but bringing in the right people is key to realising our vision, and, as such, I’m very proud to announce Nigel as a new member of our team.”

Together, the new name for Cheadle-based Jerrold Holdings, saw new lending double for the year ending 30 June 2015, to more than £724m, with both loan book and profits rising by a third.

INNOVATIVE mobile telephone based healthcare company Dr Now and its parent company Now Healthcare Group has appointed two new senior staff following its recent expansion and move to Manchester’s MediaCityUK.

The firm, which launced in June, has hired Ian Ronald as chief operating officer, as well as the arrival of Tim Ng as chief technology officer.

Ronald arrives at Now Healthcare Group as an experienced operator of retail and consumer businesses including BP, Pizza Hut, Scholastic, Tastecard and The Wine Society. He is an expert in business strategy and development, revenue growth and operational improvement.

Ng has been a leader of technology teams in a variety of settings for over 16 years. His CV includes previous employment at companies including Fujitsu/ICL, Latitude Group, threeSixty Services LLP (Standard Life) and tech start-up company Property Moose.
