M&S Foodhall takes space at White City

M&S Foodhall has taken 12,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease at White City Retail Park in Old Trafford, Manchester.
The park extends to 210,570 sq ft of space and the deal with owners The Derwent Group sees the retailer joining other tenants including Currys, Dreams, Furniture Village, Halfords, Sofawork and SCS.
M&S Foodhall has committed a total of 42,354sq ft across Derwent Group’s portfolio. The retailer committed to a 10,509 sq ft store at Junction 1 Retail Park at Bidston Moss in Wallasey, Wirral earlier this year and has also been successfully trading at its 19,845 sq ft outlet at Anlaby Retail Park in Hull.
James Maule-Ffinch, senior asset manager at Derwent Group said: “M&S Foodhall, being such a recognised, quality brand, committing to White City Retail Park as well as two other locations in the Derwent Group portfolio shows great confidence in our retail parks. The retail offer for customers at White City is much enhanced with this latest food store signing.”
Derwent Group has spent in excess of £10m on the recent redevelopment and refurbishment park.
Joint agents for White City Retail Park are Cheetham & Mortimer and CSP.
