EBL takes on six of the best as company grows

FAST-growing construction company EBL Group is ending 2015 on a high – with the recruitment of another six members of staff.

This month, the Runcorn, Cheshire-based construction and development business launched its second recruitment campaign of the year to ensure it can cater for the demands of its expanding home insurance repairs division.

EBL Group’s new recruits – like most of its current workforce – are drawn from the Halton, Merseyside and Cheshire areas.

The staff are needed to keep up with demand for work generated by a national contract with a major high street bank where EBL Group is the sole point of contact for customers making home insurance claims.

EBL Group is a privately-owned construction company which works across both the residential and commercial sectors while also specialising in home insurance repairs and operating a national commercial roofing division.

The six new recruits – which take EBL Group’s total headcount to 116 – are in addition to 10 staff taken on earlier this year.

Managing director Eddie Basnett said: “EBL Group’s expansion has been ongoing throughout 2015 – and these new colleagues ensure that we have the right people with the right skills in place.

“We’ve witnessed continued growth in the work we undertake in the insurance sector. When you’re going into people’s homes and doing repair work like this it’s crucial that every job has excellent feedback.

“Our client is really pleased with our work because that’s what their customers tell them. And that has a lot to do with the calibre of staff that you send to those customers.

“The six new plasterers, plumbers and electricians are now joining us in the run-up to the festive period and we’re already aiming for continued growth in 2016.”

Projects EBL Group has worked on over the past year include roofing repairs and maintenance at ambulance stations across Lancashire, M&S and ASDA stores nationwide and Eddie Stobart depots and warehouses across the North West.

In addition, the firm has built 69 houses in Fazakerley and Seaforth in Merseyside, on behalf of One Vision Housing, and completed a multi-million pound luxury residential conversion of a historic chapel in Halton.
