Reality TV stars drive online retailer towards £15m
MANCHESTER-based fashion e-tailer In The Style is celebrating record sales as it enters its third year of trading.
Launched in late 2013, In The Style has quickly grown from a start-up to having a projected turnover of £15m in 2016, after having almost doubled its forecast of £4.6m to £9m in 2015.
The online e-tailer has achieved a string of successes with record-breaking sales on Black Friday weekend of over £400,000.
Three sell out celebrity collections with reality TV stars Binky Felstead (Made in Chelsea), Charlotte Crosby (Geordie Shore) and Billie Faiers (The Only Way is Essex) saw its autumn-winter ranges sell out within a week, with some pieces selling over 7,000 units.
Due to a rapidly growing demand In The Style has increased from a team of four to a staff of 55 in the space of nine months and is looking to double this number again within six months.
Founder, Adam Frisby, said, “To smash our forecast in 2015 was a fantastic achievement from my whole team and we already have huge plans for 2016.
“Black Friday weekend was just a sign of what In The Style is capable of and I’m hugely excited to grow the business over the next year. It’s also been a pleasure working with Binky, Charlotte, Billie and Lauren Pope who have hugely supported the brand’s growth.”
The online brand is looking ahead to a premises move in early 2016, having recently outgrown its 6,000 sq ft premises and setting its sights on a 20,000 sq ft space in the near future.
