Liverpool ONE celebrates record-breaking footfall

FLAGSHIP retail and leisure destination Liverpool ONE is celebrating another record-breaking year.
More than 28 million people have visited the shopping complex in the heart of the city during the last 12 months, a 3% rise compared to last year.
Bosses say Liverpool ONE is bucking the national trend with an 8.5% rise in spend during 2015.
They attribute its success to the range of brands which have chosen to invest in Liverpool, including Michael Kors at Peter’s Lane, the North West’s flagship Zara store, the only Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols in the country and Charlotte Tilbury at the newly re-vamped John Lewis.
And with five new brands already signed up to open in 2016, Chris Bliss, estate director at Liverpool ONE, said the future is looking stronger than ever.
He said: “We believe our strong retail mix is helping to drive this fantastic year on year growth. Our customers are really enjoying the variety of luxury brands, high street favourites and plenty of places to eat. We have welcomed 11 new stores to Liverpool ONE during the last year – we have five new names already confirmed for 2016 with further announcements still to come.
“We are certainly entering 2016 in a very strong position.”
