Legal news: Clough & Willis branches out; Myerson advises Taskers & more

BURY firm Clough & Willis has expanded in the region after opening an office in Bolton.
The growth news follows a strong couple of years for the firm which has seen growth across its corporate and private client teams.
The Bolton office is located on Market Street in Little Lever and offers services including commercial & residential property, employment, personal injury and family law as well as wills, trusts and probate.
Clough & Willis’s senior team was approached by David Wells from the Wells Law Partnership – the long established Bolton firm which ceased trading in September 2015 due to Mr Wells’ retirement. After negotiations, Clough & Willis took over the lease of the building and agreed to store – subject to individual clients’ consent – deeds, wills and any old files. The firm also agreed to speak to clients with regards to any ongoing matters.
Shefali Talukdar – managing partner of Clough & Willis – said: “We have been thinking about opening a full-time office in Bolton for a number of years as many of our clients are from the town and its surrounding areas. We knew it would be make good business sense, but we wanted to make sure the timing was right.
“This is an exciting step for the firm and I’m sure it will really help us to further establish the Clough & Willis name across the region.”
