Apposing swallowed by Webtise Group

APP develop Apposing has been acquired by ecommerce agency The Webtise Group, creating a £5m turnover group with more than 60 staff.

Apposing founder Dave Brown has joined the group board and has relocated his team of 12 from Liverpool to the group’s new 5,500 sq ft head office on the Wirral.

The Webtise Group was founded by entrepreneurs Graham Withe and Daniel Clutterbuck in 2008 and is privately owned by Withe, Clutterbuck, chief executive Justin Young and Brown. The Group’s other businesses include Webtise Ltd and Metrics Mate.

Brown said: “The timing was right. The Apposing team and I are excited to have joined The Webtise Group. We have similar core values and share the same vision for the future.

“They are a natural fit for us, focused on innovation, and with genuinely great people who understand the mobile, creative and digital space, they too believe in placing clients at the heart of their business.

“The overall mindset is for innovative development and joining forces means we will be able to deliver exceptional client solutions.”

Apposing launched in 2009 and work with global brands such as Vodafone, McDonalds, Unilever, Skipton Building Society and Sony PlayStation.

Clutterbuck said: “We’re delighted to have Dave and his team join the group, his agency has shown they are a leader in this space. Our combined service set covers everything a contemporary online retailer needs.”

In November the group reported a sales increase of 91% and a 228% increase in profits for the year ending September 2015. The enlarged group has over 900 customers..

 Withe said: “This acquisition, together with our regional expansion plans for 2016 enhances our desire to continue our success story.”

Young added: “We remain focused on providing full service solutions for our clients and the acquisition of Apposing further demonstrates our commitment in the mobile space.”
