Rotalac sale saves 26 jobs

TWENTY-six jobs have been saved following the sale of Manchester-based Rotalac Plastic.

Alan Coleman and Julie Webster of Royce Peeling Green in Salford were appointed joint administrators of the bespoke thermoplastic extrusion and moulding solutions firm on January 19.

The business and its assets have been sold to a subsidiary of Coral Plastics Ltd.

Rotalac’s clients are in the aerospace, medical and automotive sectors and the company is also a specialist in shutter design and manufacture, including the Tambour range shutters.

“We are pleased we have been able to save this long-established manufacturing business, which secures the employment of 26 staff,” said Coleman.
