European firm switches towns in HQ move

HANSENGROUP, Northern Europe’s leading independent commercial windows, curtain walling and metal doors specialist, has switched its UK headquarters from Oldham to Rochdale’s Sandbrook Business Park.

The decision has seen HansenGroup UK’s businesses – HansenFacades and AccentHansen – relocate to fully serviced 8,300sq ft premises in the business park’s two-storey Cedar House building.

“HansenGroup UK’s previous site in Oldham was too small and not in a great location,”  said Tomas Andersen, chief operating officer of HansenGroup.
“With significant growth plans for our UK operations, it was time to find a more suitable HQ.

“We required a base that not only reflected the high standards of HansenGroup products, but also was convenient for employees and offered room for further expansion.”

With the help of Rochdale Development Agency, HansenGroup UK narrowed down its search to a small number of business premises, selecting Sandbrook for its facilities, lower accommodation costs and convenient location at the end of the A627(M).

“The very last thing we wanted to do by moving our UK HQ was to inconvenience our employees,” added Andersen.

“Although most live locally, several travel from further afield, from Merseyside and Yorkshire. With easy access to the M62 via the A627(M), Sandbrook Business Park offered the ideal location.

“Rochdale Borough Council and Rochdale Development Agency were also able to make the move as smooth as possible through a number of incentives and support packages.”

Since relocating to Sandbrook HansenGroup UK says at has secured several new key projects in Greater Manchester and across the UK.

These, in turn, have accelerated the organisation’s recruitment drive for skilled personnel.

“I am delighted that HansenGroup UK has chosen to relocate to Rochdale,” said Rochdale Council leader Richard Farnell on his visit to the business.

“HansenGroup UK has exciting plans for the future, which will undoubtedly bring more skilled employment opportunities to our borough.”
