Indian restaurant set to spice up city scene

THE Indian Tiffin Room is launching its second venue in Greater Manchester this week, thanks to support from Business Finance Solutions (BFS).

BSF is a Government backed alternative lender supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority, providing a range business finance to the area’s businesses helping them to grow and create or protect jobs.

Having worked with BFS on the launch of its first restaurant in 2013, just two years later the Indian Tiffin Room in Cheadle was ranked the third best Indian restaurant in the UK by TripAdvisor, the only restaurant in Greater Manchester to make it into the top 10.

Creating 16 new jobs and safeguarding 10, the Indian Tiffin Room will be the only Indian restaurant to be based in the new First Street development where it will sit alongside HOME, the four star INNSIDE hotel, luxury student apartments and a range of other restaurants, cafes and bars.

Nathan Wightman, business loans manager at Business Finance Solutions which is part of the Manchester Growth Company, said: “Having provided the Indian Tiffin Room with the support they needed three years ago for their first restaurant in Cheadle it is enormously gratifying to see just what a great success story they have become and to be able to support them with the launch of their second venture.”

“They have created a unique dining experience that brings the authentic flavours of Indian street food to life and their cooking and hospitality is now recognised and respected by diners from across the world.  The Indian Tiffin Room already has a fantastic track record and we are proud to be part of their ambitious expansion and growth plans for the future and to help keep Manchester on the culinary map.”

A spokesperson for the directors s said: “Launching our second restaurant is an incredible way to start 2016 and the working relationship with BFS has meant that we have been able to bring the concept of the project to life to bring the Indian Tiffin Room experience to Manchester.”
