ALISON Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts Solicitors, has been appointed to the board of trustees at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

The highly-experienced solicitor, who is also president of Liverpool Law Society, will support the charity’s senior management team in its efforts to increase engagement with corporate partners and fundraisers across the UK.

Lobb has been managing partner at Morecrofts, one of the city’s longest-established law firms, since March 2014 and is also deputy chair of North Liverpool Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
Her arrival follows the appointment of Liverpool Vision chief executive Max Steinberg as chair of the charity’s trustee board earlier this year.

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated to defeating the country’s deadliest cancer, which kills more than 40,000 men and women every year.

Lobb said: “Lung cancer has a devastating effect on the lives of tens of thousands of victims and their families every year.

“I want to help the foundation spread that message far and wide, particularly among the business community, where entrepreneurs, directors and members of staff can all play an important role in the fight against lung cancer.”
