People: JP Hay; Citation; Perpetual Partnerships & more

MANCHESTER-based JP Hay Sales & Lettings has two new staff members as it continues to grow from its Northern Quarter office on Swan Street in Manchester city centre.

Amanda Jane Fraser has been appointed as sales and lettings negotiator having gained a sound knowledge of professional sales and services in retail, property and the financial sector following her roles at Radcliffe Associates and at Parador Properties in Spain.

Lauren Richardson has joined the team as an apprentice and will be working closely with Sam and the rest of the team as she learns the ropes.

Established in 2011 by Samantha Hay, she has grown the team steadily to ensure that its established personal service continues to run through the culture. The new appointments take the team to five people.

Hay, managing director at JP Hay Sales & Lettings, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Amanda and Lauren into the JP Hay family and believe that they will be invaluable assets to our team.

“JP Hay is seeking growth in our asset management activities for investors, developers and landlords alongside our sales and letting activity and we’re attending the international real estate exhibition in Cannes for the first time in 2016 to seek new connections.”

LES Blacker is the new client services director at Citation, the health and safety, employment law, HR and ISO provider.

The 46-year-old joins the Wilmslow, Cheshire company from customer experience specialist HGS Europe.

In his new role, Blacker will oversee the further development and delivery of an exceptional service for all clients, ensuring the service provided by the Citation team continually evolves so that it is recognised as the best in the industry.

He will lead the employment law, HR and health and safety departments, introducing client relation teams and providing a comprehensive client support strategy which focuses on bringing Citation services to life for its valued clients.

SPECIALIST technical recruiter Perpetual Partnerships has appointed Gavin Spencer as development director.
 
He joins the Northwich-based firm from oil and gas recruiter Air Energi, where he was associate director for Europe.

In his new position, Spencer will lead the roll-out of a series of strategies to expand the firm’s consultancy business, grow existing accounts, and open new market sectors and territories.

“Gavin joins us at a pivotal time in our evolution, with a dynamic track-record of service enhancement and growth generation and the vision and expertise to help us unlock the real potential of our business” said Garry Rogerson, managing director of Perpetual Partnerships, which recruits into the engineering, manufacturing, architecture and surveying industries.

SOLICITORS Earle Brady and Kate Mallaband have joined North West law firm Napthens as head of construction and engineering and commercial property partner respectively.

Earle, who joins from DLA Piper in Liverpool where he was legal director and head of construction and engineering in the North West, becomes partner and Napthens’ new head of construction.

Mallaband joins as partner and head of commercial property in Cumbria from local firm Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand, and brings more than 10 years’ experience working in the sector.
 
During his career, Earle has been involved with a number of high profile projects in the sector both locally and further afield including advising on the stand extension at Anfield for Liverpool Football Club, a £150m regeneration scheme in Liverpool city centre, and advising a Middle Eastern government on a museum project.

At Napthens, Earle, a member of the Society of Construction Law, will use his experience to help clients’ construction and engineering projects reach a successful conclusion from procurement to appointment of consultants and resolving any disputes arising.

Meanwhile, Mallaband has particular knowledge in landlord and tenant law, and estate management work for national retail portfolios as well as large regional operators across Yorkshire and the North West having spent seven years at top 100 firm Gordons in Leeds.

James Allison, head of the Real Estate Division at Napthens, said: “Both Earle and Kate have a significant level of experience and knowledge to bring to their roles and I’m looking forward to supporting them as they further develop their departments”.
