Six-figure profit for recruiter

PRIME, the sales recruitment and training specialists, has recorded a six-figure operating profit in its first year.

Since Prime was founded in October 2014, the business has grown from a two-person start-up to a team of seven.

Building on its recent success, the business has moved into a new office on Manchester’s Hewitt Street.

Over the last 12 months, Prime has placed both trainees and graduates into sales and recruitment roles across Manchester, with more than 250 trainees attending the firm’s free of charge sales training days.

The firm also set up three sales training workshops at universities across the UK, including Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Manchester and De Montfort University Leicester.

The business plans to double its turnover on year one in 2016, and grow the team from seven to 10 by the end of year two.

Neil Clough, managing director at Prime, said: “2015 was a hugely successful year for us. As sales has such a high turnover rate, we wanted to offer a unique way of providing employers with talented trainees who are passionate about sales as a career, and remove the risk of recruitment. Our specialist training programme seemed to really appeal to candidates, with the number of people attending our programmes increasing week on week.

“Our job has only just begun, and we still have work to do as we hope to make sales and recruitment a career of choice. As for our plans for the future, we are ambitious with both our team growth and our revenue targets, and believe that we can definitely achieve our objectives for 2016.”
