UKFast profits hit £11.3m

The Manchester-headquartered IT business is in its 16th year of consecutive growth, adding more than £10m of recurring revenue in two years.
Operating profit was £11.3m, up 18% on 2014.
Chief executive Lawrence Jones MBE said: “The last year has been the most exciting year of our 16 so far. We’ve added more big brands and enterprise clients than ever before.
“A particular highlight for me was winning the account with JCB. They are an iconic British business, a unique ‘stand out’ brand and one I am tremendously proud to host.
“There’s an increase in people wanting a higher level of bespoke support and a definite move away from ‘auto-pilot decision-making’ that used to see companies favouring the biggest US hosting providers.”
December saw UKFast announce that revenue for its eCloud range grew by 82.9% between 2014 and 2015, contributing to 18% overall growth in 2015.
Jones claims the popularity of UK-based cloud products will deliver even more impressive results for the firm in the coming year.
He said: “We are seeing a clear and definite move towards British businesses buying from British businesses. The looming economic crisis in China is making people nervous and I believe people across the globe are buying more locally to reduce their exposure.
“We’ve spent the last year investing in our team and our infrastructure. We are in an incredibly strong position now with the resource we’ve added and the coming year is set to be our most productive to date.”
