PAUL Crowley & Co solicitors in Liverpool has appointed Tracy Thompson as managing partner.

The firm, which has branches in Anfield, West Derby and Walton, has promoted its operations director to the role of managing partner.
 
Since joining in March 2011 Tracy has worked to develop the firm through implementing new systems and procedures within the practice, as well as managing corporate business planning and marketing activity.
 
The appointment comes at an exciting time for the firm as it celebrated its 25th anniversary in January, with an exclusive event at 60 Hope Street, while new appointments have been made throughout the firm.  

Established in 1991 by Paul Crowley, the firm has built a strong reputation for providing quality legal advice to its clients across Liverpool, which it now hopes to build upon.
 
Thompson will join current partners Paul Crowley, Michael Fogarty and John McKenna.

PR and marketing agency Active Profile has marked a strong first half to its financial year with a number of new client appointments, sales growth ahead of target and an expanded office in Manchester.

Promotions within the team have seen senior account manager Natalie Fox promoted to junior account director, Carrie Allen to senior account executive and Jo Spragg is now a senior account director. Nicky Hughes has been promoted to associate director and head of property and regeneration.

Recent new client appointments include online learning platform developer Wranx, the Liverpool Commercial District BID and Science North which has handed Active Profile the brief to promote the inaugural Business of Science Conference in Manchester in May.

Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership has also appointed Active Profile to formally launch its Local Growth Hub.

BOLTON-based builder and developer Seddon has appointed its latest high profile director as the firm targets growth across the North of England, Midlands and Wales.

Seddon, which also has offices in Birmingham, Stoke and North Wales, has appointed Paul Hughes as development director for the firm’s housing partnerships division.

Hughes has worked in the housing sector for 30 years, with 25 years seeing him work on public-funded schemes.

Alongside development managers Ian Ridgway and Chris Curtis, who was appointed in September 2015. Hughes will head-up the company’s land-led schemes across the North West, Midlands and North Wales for new and existing social housing clients.

LANCASHIRE-based Chase Templeton has strengthened its management team with the recruitment of Geoff Thompson to the newly created role of business retention manager.

Thompson joins the Darwen-headquartered private medical consolidator from PMI Group with whom he spent 17 years, eight as a senior employee benefits consultant. In that post his responsibilities included hitting retention and new business generation targets within the 100-1,000 employee SME space.

He will report to head of corporate sales, Gillian Adams, with board direction coming from commercial director, Richard Holden

IF – the Manchester creative agency – has restructured its core services, launched a data division and added to its senior team following two key appointments.

Peter Harris is IF’s new data science director, joining joined from Shop Direct where he was head of data science for four years.
 
Stuart Hornby joins as client services director, working on all aspects of client management (including strategy, creative and service) across the agency’s client base. He will also play a key role in new business development.

GLOBAL measurement instrumentation specialist Endress+Hauser, based in Wythenshawe near Manchester, has appointed Steven Endress – the first third-generation member of the family which runs the business– to replace David Newell who is retiring.

Steven’s father Peter, the former managing director and current chairman, will also relinquish his duties but remain on the group’s supervisory board.

David Newell has 42 years of experience in the process automation industry, of which he dedicated three decades to Endress+Hauser. He will retire on September 30.

TOP 45 National law firm Weightmans, has announced a trio of promotions for 2016 to Fixed Share Membership (FSM) status.

Based at the firm’s head office in Liverpool, the new partners are Sarah Conroy (CDR team), Chris Grady (Real Estate) and Liam McGuire (Motor).

Rob Clarkson, from Much Hoole in Lancashire, has spent the last 30 years working in the motor industry and most recently managed the aftersales service offering across three major North West car dealerships for a large automotive retail group.
