Cheshire IT firm in management buy-in

CHESHIRE-based Delta Comtech has completed a management buy-in that will see the company target sales of £1.25m this year.
The Macclesfield IT services firm employs 16 staff and is owned by Geoff Barratt and Mike Orton – while the new shareholders are sales director, Carl Enser and operations director, Ed Wright.
Turnover for 2015 increased 20% to break the £1m barrier for the first time and the company expects to further boost sales in 2016, following the MBI.
With a client base of small and medium-sized businesses, Delta Comtech provides support, direction and cloud-based services to companies that need help with their IT to boost their efficiency, profitability and online safety.
Carl Enser, sales director, said: “This deal will build on the success of Delta Comtech to date. We all really believe in the business and its potential within the market.
“As a technically-led organisation, we align ourselves closely with Mircrosoft and we’re always providing the best advice and direction to our clients. Our clients work with us because we have a technically trained eye on what’s on the horizon for their business and industry.”
Mark Traynor, corporate partner at HRC Law, which advised on the deal, said: “We’re always looking to work with companies doing a great job in their sector and looking to kick-on for growth. The impressive team at Delta Comtech is ambitious with their sights set on growth into other regions. We look forward to watching their progress.”
