On March 24, his team and the firm’s Amsterdam office completed the sale by Superbreak of its Business Reservations Holland BV subsidiary to Holidaybreak for £7.6m – a week before the big Superbreak deal.
Hall and his team also advised Danish company NKT Photonics A/S – a supplier of high performance fiber lasers and photo crystal fibers – on the acquisition of UK-based Fianium for £21m, which also completed on March 31. The acquisition will provide the opportunity to widen the product offering and strengthen development capabilities, the company said.
Hans Flemming Jensen, general counsel of NKT Photonics, said: “Eversheds steady and top notch efforts were paramount in ensuring we reached the goal within the very short timeline. Eversheds immediate response time and agility made this possible. It’s a pleasure to be working with an adviser who understands the commercial setting and rationale for the deal and know what’s important and what’s not.”
Hall said: “2016 continues to be a very busy period for M&A at Eversheds and we are pleased to continue to advise these two active listed companies on their strategic M&A transactions.”
The team working with Hall included senior associate Nicola Brookes and associates Annika Unsworth, Laura Evans and Helen Yeung. Principal associate David Smith advised on tax and associate Marie-Charlotte Chambers advised on banking.
