Investec gets new men at the top

INVESTEC Wealth & Investment has made two key appointments in the North West.

Richard Greenhalgh is to  head up the firm’s Manchester office and Carl Cross will lead its Liverpool operation.

Greenhalgh, a senior investment director, has been with the firm since 2007 and manages assets on behalf of private individuals, trusts and personal pension schemes. 

His team also provides discretionary fund management services for a number of financial advisers across the North West and beyond.
 
Greenhalgh replaces Jonathan Quick who is retiring.

Prior to IW&I, Greenhalgh worked at PwC for eight years, latterly in its transaction services department, primarily providing financial due diligence to the private equity industry.

He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2002 and is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI).

Cross moves up from his role as senior investment director, having worked in IW&I’s Liverpool office for the past 20 years and is responsible for managing significant funds for private clients, pension funds, trusts and charities.Carl Cross

He joined BWD Rensburg (now IW&I) in 1995 as an equity analyst, where he undertook original research on oil, industrial and utility companies and contributed to overall stock selection.  He became an investment director in 2003 and subsequently a senior investment Director in 2013.

Cross replaces Jon Seal who, after 13 years leading the Liverpool office, has made the decision to retire from the company in 2017.
