New men at helm of accountancy firm

ERIC Solomons and Graham Bond have been appointed RSM’s office managing partners for Manchester, and Liverpool and Chester, respectively.

In the office managing partner role, Solomons and Bond will be responsible for driving forward the accountancy company’s strategic business objectives in Manchester, Liverpool and Chester through effective client service delivery and employee engagement, whilst managing the day-to-day running and performance of the respective locations.Graham Bond

In the new role, the duo will work closely with regional managing partner Jill Jones and the office managing partners in Preston and Stoke to ensure client experience, growth and development are prioritised across the North West.

Solomons joined RSM in 2013 as an audit partner and has extensive experience working with mid-market businesses, including owner-managed, privately-owned, AIM listed and private equity-funded businesses.

Over his extensive career, he has specialised in key sectors including real estate, retail, professional services and recruitment, and has significant experience advising international businesses, particularly in Germany, France and the USA.

Bond joined RSM in 2005, and has extensive experience working with fast growing companies, middle and large corporate businesses and AIM listed businesses. With over 30 years’ experience, he specialises in key sectors including manufacturing, technology and life sciences, and leads RSM’s manufacturing and life sciences practices in the region. Graham is also a member of the strategic advisory board of Bionow.

The move is part of wider developments to enhance the North West team, which sees international and large corporates tax partner Rebecca Reading joining the Manchester team following on from the recent North West tax partner promotions of James Morris and Tina Mullington, together with Simon Moulton in the accounting and business advisory team.

Jones, RSM said: “We have ambitious plans for the North West region and Eric and Graham have the leadership experience, commercial knowledge and collaborative approach to help drive growth, develop talent and innovate to ensure we continue to effectively support our clients and people.

“I look forward to working with Eric, Graham and the North West team to shape our strategy, and it is with the full support of their colleagues that we wish them all the best in their new roles.”

The office managing appointments are with immediate effect.
