LINDER Myers Solicitors has promoted partner Anne Dobie to head of its commercial property department.

Dobie joined the firm in September 2015, bringing a wealth of experience to the commercial property team at the firm’s Manchester office.

She is a specialist in site acquisition, development projects, joint ventures, forward funding, regeneration and remediation of brown field sites; acting on behalf of developers, public bodies (health and local authority) and institutional investors.

Dobie has been involved in numerous town centre developments and also undertakes commercial landlord and tenant work and supports commercial clients in corporate transactions involving sales and leasebacks and the acquisition and disposal of companies and businesses.

In her new role, she will lead the 18-strong commercial property department and have overall responsibility for the fiscal and business development of the team.

Dobie, said: “After a relatively short time with the firm, I’m delighted to have been promoted to Head of Department – growth and further development is very much on the commercial property team’s agenda as we continue to strengthen our service offering.”

THE Market Creative has strengthened its account management and creative teams with four new appointments at its base at Trafford Park in Manchester.

James Ballinger joins as account director to head-up the Grafton Merchanting GB team. He will also play a leading role in the company’s new business drive.
 
He has 12 years’ experience of working in agencies, working with Thomas Cook, Going Places and Airtours. His previous position was with Delineo.
 
The account management team has also been bolstered with the appointment of two account executives. Tom Pringle will support on Grafton Merchanting GB.

He previously worked at Label PR and is armed with both advertising and fashion PR experience from working on brands such as Footasylum. Max McLaren will support the Sharps and Silentnight accounts. He has previously worked at JCDecaux, London.

On the creative team, Charlie Jackson has joined as lead creative to work on Plumbs, Silentnight, Sharps and Grafton Merchanting GB. She has more than 10 years experience working across a broad range of sectors including homewares, nursery, travel and medical communications.

GLASS manufacturer Encirc has appointed communications specialist and ex-journalist Oliver Harry to manage the company’s internal and external communications out of its recently upgraded site at Elton in Cheshire.

Harry, who joins as communications and public relations manager, will work closely with head of strategic development Fiacre O’Donnell to maintain the company’s strong relationship with external stakeholders, as well as lead its internal employee engagement programme.

In doing so, he will play a key role in supporting the company’s broader business objectives to help Encirc meet growth targets and ensure success in the long term.

Harry said: “It’s a fascinating time to be joining the Encirc team – the business has really expanded its offering in recent years, with cutting-edge new services to give customers a more efficient and sustainable supply chain.

NORTH West accountants and business adviser Cowgill Holloway has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of two new members of staff to support the growth of the firm.

Michael Beal, joins the firm as marketing manager at its Bolton office, having previously worked for Lancashire and Manchester based accountants Cassons.

Amy Plath also joins in the position of marketing manager in the Bolton office, for the corporate recovery and insolvency arm of the business Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery LLP, having previously worked at intellectual property firm Marks & Clerk.

Business development partner Rob Lord said: “We are delighted that Amy and Michael have joined the firm. Their appointments have bolstered our marketing team and support a period of continued development and growth for Cowgill Holloway.”

HOUSING and regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships has appointed Stuart McHale as technical manager in its North West business unit, based in Warrington.

McHale joined the £330m turnover company having previously held the position of development engineer at Bellway Homes’ Manchester division.

As part of his new role, he will be responsible for the management of all technical aspects of the business across all of Galliford Try Partnerships’ North West housing developments.

Reporting to the development director McHale will ensure all new regeneration schemes are delivered successfully in terms of delivery time, scope and quality.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for me to use the experience and knowledge I have gained over the years to assist the company in achieving its goal to deliver successful and much sought after new homes across the North West.”
