£25m luxury apartment scheme set for launch

A £25m luxury residential scheme in the heart of Liverpool city centre is set to be launched.

Buy-to-let specialist Knight Knox has announced plans for Silkhouse Court on Tithebarn Street with Fortis Developments in conjunction with Elite City Living.

The scheme includes 193 furnished apartments, ranging from studios to one and two-bedroom homes.

The 15-storey apartment tower, which boasts outstanding views of Liverpool city centre and the River Mersey, is due for completion in the spring of 2017.

Silkhouse Court – a converted building from the 1980s – will be Knight Knox’s 15th development in the region and 24th in partnership with Fortis.

Amenities are to include an on-site gymnasium, secure bicycle storage and a concierge service, as well as 48 private parking spaces.

Andy Phillips, commercial director at Knight Knox, said: “Liverpool is one of the country’s top buy-to-let investment hotspots and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with premium residential property and attractive investment opportunities.

“We’re confident that Silkhouse Court will prove to be another hugely popular Fortis-led scheme in Liverpool – an innovative modern business city with a thriving artistic culture and a famous maritime history.”

The building will be let by Fortis Lettings and Management and managed by Fortis Estate Management.

Kieran Moore, director of Fortis, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of Silkhouse Court, which offers truly exceptional views of Liverpool city centre.

“All 193 apartments will be built with future residents in mind and will benefit from high quality fixtures and fittings as well as contemporary designs, so we’re sure they’ll be snapped up in no time.”
