Your music playlist to get you going at work

Ever find yourself getting stuck in a rut at work? It’s easy to lose your mojo after staring at a computer screen for hours on end. But music can help! If you’re losing concentration and need to focus, stick your headphones in and listen to some of these motivational and uplifting songs, you’ll soon be back on track and bobbing your head along.

Coldplay – Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall
There are a few Coldplay songs you could choose from, but this is a favourite of ours. It’s upbeat and get’s up pumped up for the day!

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
You can’t beat a bit of smooth Motown and this one is by far one of the best. It’s probably not for the best that you try and duet with the person next to you though, as I have learned.

Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out
Oh Flo, she’s not known for her uplifting songs but this is a modern day classic. The best song to listen to if you need to shake off your problems in the office.

Michael Jackson – Man In The Mirror
This song not only makes us want to dance along the corridors, it makes us want to change the world! Is there a more motivational song out there? Possibly, but we love this one the most.

David Guetta ft. Sia – Titanium
Had a rough meeting with the boss this morning? Whack this on. “You shoot me down, but I won’t fall, I am titanium” Yes, yes I am.

The Beatles – Come Together
One of the best known Beatles tracks, Come Together is a foot-tapping fever we just can’t not listen to if we need a good spoonful of motivation.

Katy Perry – Roar
Thinking about making your mark in your next work project? You should listen to this Katy Perry tune and you’ll soon be telling the office how indeed you’re a champion and they’re going to hear you roar.

AC/DC – Back In Black
There’s nothing like a bit of classic rock to get you through an afternoon of spreadsheets. It’s probably for the best that you don’t start throwing yourself around the office though, unless everyone is.

Michael Bublé – Feeling Good
Birds flying high, you know how I feel…Yes, yes I do Michael, thank you for making me feel empowered on this rainy morning.

Alesso ft. Tove Lo – Heroes (We Could Be)
You may be used to hearing this out in a bar on a Saturday night, but if you actually listen to the lyrics, it’s super uplifting and definitely helps us with our workload.

Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc
Arguably one of the coolest songs ever, Feel Good Inc is the perfect song to listen to when you need something to jig to, but don’t want to get too distracted by pumping beats.

Whitney Houston – I’m Every Woman
There is no other song out there that can make a woman feel so independent (although Beyoncé might disagree). This song will help you smash those deadlines at the same time as standing up to the IT guy who rolls his eyes at you when you admit that you haven’t tried turning it off and on again.

Queen – The Show Must Go On
You heard it from them first, the show must go on. This will get you fighting through those emails and throughout the day. You might even still be listening to this whilst you’re fighting for a seat on the train home.

Foo Fighters – Learn To Fly
We love this song from Foo Fighters so much that we have attempted to fly whilst taking a toilet break at work. That is genuinely the effect it has on us. Consider your health and safety beforehand though…

R. Kelly – The World’s Greatest
“I’m that star up in the sky, I’m that mountain peak up high” Yes I am! I can feel it! I’m the world’s greatest! Why not play this to the office and mix up the singing and clapping roles? Just an idea.
