Thumbs up for city’s tallest building

SALFORD City Council has granted planning permission for Exchange Court, a 44-storey residential tower that will be the city’s tallest building on completion.

The landmark development by AQ Investments will offer 349 apartments together with residents’ amenities including lounge, roof garden, gymnasium, 24/7 concierge and basement parking.

Exchange Court has been designed by OMI Architects with construction due to start in June  for a period of about 30 months.

AQ Investments is part of the Renaker Build Group of companies which is also constructing 1,600 high quality apartments with residents’ amenities across four other sites at Greengate, Cambridge Street, Regent Road and Wilburn Basin in Salford and Manchester.

Renaker also has a strong pipeline of proposed developments including a major residential-led scheme on the 1.5 hectare Owen Street site in central Manchester comprising of more than 1,400 apartments across four buildings with extensive residents’ amenities including a cinema screen, indoor tennis court, rooftop café bar with terrace and private garden and swimming pool, spa and gymnasium. The scheme also features a public square and retail/entertainment facilities.
