People: Corporation Pop; Allied Irish Bank; Hill Dickinson & more

AGENCY Corporation Pop has expanded with three new hires including an appointment to its senior team.  

Corporation Pop, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has enjoyed 20% year-on-year growth for the last three years.

Jess Bolton joins the management team as the company’s first Client Services Director. She has been tasked with growing revenues to help the business meet its ambitious growth targets by developing relationships with new and existing clients. Jess brings with her over 10 years experience, most recently at MMP Global.

Corporation Pop has also recruited two developers to work on a range of games and applications. Tim Saunders joins the team as an app developer after spending four years freelancing building web-based games for clients including the BBC, Cartoon Network, Sony, ITV and Samsung. He’d previously held roles with Monumental and Sony.
 
Liam Duncan joins as games developer from Clicks and Links, where he was lead developer working on a range of serious games for business applications.

ALLIED Irish Bank (GB) has appointed a new regional director in the North West, alongside other identical roles for Scotland, London and the Midlands.

Tony Kelly joins as Regional Director for the North of England from his previous role as a managing director at NatWest.

In prior role, he worked as managing director of commercial banking for the North of England and North Wales
.
Kelly said: “I joined AIB (GB) because of their emphasis on customer service. By employing dedicated relationship managers that understand the needs of local businesses, we’re able to deliver a tailored service. The North of England is a key growth area for us as we continue to increase new business lending year on year.”

INTERNATIONAL law firm Hill Dickinson has bolstered its employment and pensions team after reporting a strong year-end across the group.
 
Paula Warnock and Michael Wright have both been promoted to partner. Warnock has been with the firm for more than three years and specialises in pensions.

Wright has also been with the firm for three years, and is a national expert in issues concerning the training of medical professionals.

The pensions team, led by Barry Gibb in Manchester, now stands five strong and services a raft of clients across the North West and nationally. The team has grown rapidly overly the last 3 years and aims to achieve a turnover of £2m by 2018.

Barry Gibb, head of pensions at Hill Dickinson said: “Hill Dickinson is committed to investing in quality talent to support its growth and Paula is a prime example of this.
“The team has grown significantly over the past couple of years and Paula has played an integral role. I’m delighted to announce her promotion.”
 
Andrew Gibson heads up the Manchester arm of the 12-strong specialist NHS Employment team.

LAW firm Irwin Mitchell has named Manchester-based real estate lawyer Chris Perrin as its national head of property litigation.
 
Perrin, who joined Irwin Mitchell from DLA Piper in 2013 and was made partner in 2014, has been promoted to the newly created role to coordinate and drive forward growth within the team which has expanded following Irwin Mitchell’s recent merger with Thomas Eggar.
 
Specialising in all areas of property litigation for landlords, tenants, developers, investors, banks, administrators and receivers, Perrin also advises on property related professional negligence matters. In 2015 he appeared twice in the Court of Appeal for clients and has another matter listed for appeal in 2016.

The other partners in the 15-strong team are Danny Revitt, Sue Wilson, Richard Brown and James Pavey.

CHESTER-based building services consulting engineers Davies Partnership has announced that Tony McDonnell is to  take over the role of managing director.

He takes over from Phil Davies who will become chief executive. Davies who started the business in 1996 said: “Tony has a great deal of experience and commercial acumen, he will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the role and manage the business to ensure growth and success for us all.”

WARRINGTON-based procurement outsourcing specialist Inprova Group has appointed leading industry figure Michael Dent as Managing Director of its new Inprova Energy business.

Dent, aged 41, has extensive senior leadership experience of the European energy markets, and is a former board director of Utilitywise plc. He also held senior roles at Total Gas & Power Ltd and RWE npower.

Inprova Energy is the newly branded energy division of Inprova Group – bringing together three of the UK’s leading energy consultancies (energyTEAM, ENER-G Procurement, and UES Energy) under a new brand.
 
Most recently, Dent was managing director Europe, and sales and marketing dDirector for Utilitywise, where he drove substantial profitability improvement for the European division and led steep sales growth in the UK corporate market. He also played a key role in mergers and acquisitions.
