Revenue hits £6.4m for on-the-up law firm

A NORTH West law firm has grown by almost a third during the last 12 months.

Hillyer McKeown Group has seen revenues increase to £6.4m across its four offices in Chester, Liverpool, Wirral and North Wales.

Legal services have grown by 27% while the firm’s developing portfolio of diversified business services has seen an increase of 59% in revenues. This includes financial services and marketing and PR.

The increase in turnover follows a year of high profile activity at Hillyer McKeown.

The firm moved to a prestigious new office at Gorse Stacks in Chester and opened its first Liverpool base in the heart of the city’s business district. It is also about to implement a programme of refurbishment at its Wirral office in Hamilton Square.

Staff numbers have also grown from 65 to more than 90 to meet the increasing demands of clients for business and personal legal services. Recruitment is ongoing across all departments.

A number of the firm’s legal services have seen significant growth, including the commercial division which specialises in working with SME businesses with a turnover of between £1m and £15m.

Steve Harvey, Hillyer McKeown’s managing partner, said: “We have seen substantial growth in both our core legal services and non-legal diversified services.

“At the heart of our business plan is the ambition to provide our clients with the very best professional services and to become their trusted business partner. Our range of diversified business services such as marketing and PR and financial services is central to this proposition.

“We have one common goal – to enable our clients to build successful and growing businesses.

“We rebranded the firm almost 12 months ago with a commitment to providing unrivalled client service. Our continued growth as a firm is dependent upon our people continuing to ensure this approach in everything we do.”
