Development opportunity as university offloads campus site

THE University of Liverpool is selling an 8.7 acre development opportunity site in the Mossley Hill Conservation Area.

CBRE’s North West Land and Development team has been instructed to market Dale Hall, around 2.5 miles from Liverpool City Centre.

Comprising five buildings which formerly incorporated accommodation for 265 students, the land has now become surplus to the University’s requirements and CBRE is inviting offers by noon on Friday 22nd July on a subject to detailed planning basis.

CBRE has prepared a detailed appraisal of the site following discussions with Liverpool City Council to reach an agreed position on the main principles of an indicative scheme layout for new homes.

Bernadette McQuillan, director in the national land and development team in Manchester, said: “We are pleased to bring to market Dale Hall, providing potential developers with a unique opportunity to transform what is currently a redundant campus into a high quality development to blend seamlessly with the character of the locality.

“Given the site’s positioning in one of Liverpool’s most exclusive suburbs, Dale Hall lends itself ideally to the development of new homes and we are looking forward to entering into discussions with interested parties.”
