Delivery Group revenue grows to £124m

THE Delivery Group, which boasts a major site in Warrington, has cemented its place as one of the industry’s fastest growing post and parcel operator.

In the year to December 31 the business increased turnover by 55% to £124m, with strong operating and retained profit growth.
 
The Delivery Group was formed in March 2015 to combine the operations of Secured Mail Express and the CMS Network, a move that broadened the group’s portfolio of services and has accelerated significant contract wins.
 
The group now has more than 350 staff and operates from three major locations in Central London and Luton in addition to Warrington.

Secured Mail is one of the largest technology-enabled ecommerce and postal solutions businesses in the UK specialising in the online retail and direct marketing sectors, while CMS is a leading provider of managed mail services and financial research distribution in the UK and Internationally.

Paul Carvell, chairman of The Delivery Group, said: “2015 was a very successful year for the group and on the strength of the growth and opportunities in the group’s core markets, we have increased our sales and account management teams in order to continue our growth in to 2016.”

He added: “The group is continuing its investment in market leading technology and operational infrastructure such as new mail sortation technology for managed mail solutions and the business is already committed to cross-border international mail in 2016.”
