Do you deserve a pay rise?

If you’re wondering when the figure on your pay slip is finally going to satisfy you, then you’re not alone. 57% of us are unhappy with our current pay, but it doesn’t have to be that way, especially if you’re doing the following four things…
1. Exceeding targets
If this is the case, make a detailed note of your achievements at the company, You may want to create a spreadsheet complete with graphs to show how your work is improving productivity and profits.
2. Working well with others
Not only do you get your own work done, but you help others to succeed in their roles as well. Working well as a team or being able to inspire and motivate others makes you a valuable employee, worthy of a pay rise.
3. Going above and beyond
You regularly arrive early, stay late and work weekends without even getting paid for it. You do it because you’re passionate about the business and you want it to thrive. Doing duties outside of your role has become a habit, but what do you get from it?
4. You’re innovative
You constantly bring new ideas to the table and always contribute in meetings.
Your ideas have been implemented and even been profitable to the business.
If you can honestly say you are all these things and more, don’t wait for your review, book a meeting with your boss as soon as possible and pinpoint exactly why you deserve a raise.
