Sports nutrition firm powers US cycling body

EAST Lancashire-based Science in Sport  is to become the official sports nutrition supplier to USA Cycling, the official governing body for all disciplines of competitive cycling in the US.

The AIM-listed Nelson company, which develops, manufactures and markets sports nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts and has worked with elite professional cycling teams including Team Sky and Team WIGGINS, said the deal will further bolster its brand recognition in this target market.

The agreement, which runs to the end of 2017, follows SiS’ recent expansion into the US.

It will see SiS supply bag drops and stock neutral feed stations for all US National Championship events with a comprehensive range of lab-tested SiS sports nutrition products, including GO Hydro tablets and SiS’ world-first isotonic GO Gels.

USA Cycling members and its promoters, clubs, and sponsors will also receive a 20% discount on selected SiS products, as part of a sponsorship benefit package.
