Construction supremo exits as MD after sale of business

CONSTRUCTION industry specialist Alan Robson has officially exited as managing director of Innov8 Safety Solutions after selling the company to Lucion Environmental Services.

The buy-out process began in March 2015 after a deal was agreed to bring Manchester and Wirral firm Innov8 under the Lucion banner to further expand its risk management services throughout the UK and across the globe.

Innov8 was founded by Robson in 2007 and delivers two main construction design management (CDM) services – either acting as an advisor to a principal designer or as a client’s CDM advisor.

Robson said it was a proud moment to complete the business sale and his tenure at Innov8 after almost 10 years leading the firm.

During that time, he drove turnover to more than £850,000 employed 12 staff and launched offices in the Wirral, Manchester, Edinburgh and London. 

“This is one of the best outcomes I could have expected when I initially set up the firm back in 2007 as an ambitious young entrepreneur,” said Robson.
