Owners of mice infested city centre restaurant fined £14,000

THE owners of a Liverpool city centre restaurant have been fined £14,000 after inspectors found its kitchen to be infested with mice.

Red Hot World Buffet in Liverpool ONE, run by Passepartouts Ltd, admitted 10 counts of food hygiene regulations at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court after mice droppings and beetle larvae were uncovered during an inspection.

Passepartouts was also ordered to pay £7,816 costs. The company is now in administration and the restaurant closed in June.
