Housing association gets £11m helping hand

NORTH of England housing association Alpha Homes is set to invest in a raft of its properties after receiving an £11m funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

Headquartered in Bromborough on the Wirral, Alpha Homes provides sheltered accommodation to the over 55s with 25 schemes across Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.

Graeme Foster, chief executive at Alpha Homes, said: “We’re dedicated to providing the highest standard of accommodation for our residents, and the funding will allow us to invest in our current homes and acquire new schemes.

“The investment will also ensure that we can continue to provide services and accommodation that meet the needs and aspirations of our current residents and future generations.

Alison Williams, finance manager at Alpha Homes, said: “We’ve worked with Lloyds Bank since 2014, and in this time the relationship team has provided an outstanding personable service, working closely with us to ensure that we have the funding in place to achieve our growth plans.”

Steve Hughes, relationship director at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Alpha Homes is setting itself apart from its competitors by choosing to invest in the services it offers.

“The funding package provided will enable the organisation to start its five-year refurbishment programme and capitalise on any new investment opportunities that arise.

“We’re dedicated to helping businesses like Alpha Homes invest in their future growth, and have pledged to increase our lending to businesses by £1bn by 2017.”
