Insurance broker breaks £10m gross premiums barrier

MANCHESTER-based insurance broker Well Dunn has recently hit £10m in gross premiums since it began trading nearly four years ago.

The business trades predominantly under the brand Insurance Revolution across the non-standard motor insurance market, mainly for convicted and courier drivers.

Insurance Revolution has ambitious plans for the next 12 months and are looking to increase its work force from 55 to 90 in 2017, with possible expansion to 120 in the future.

With the addition of an extra 45 staff members, the company is aiming to double to £20m gross premiums for 2017.

Insurance Revolution has taken on a number of staff in the past year, with growth mainly in the sales and admin departments, as well as doubling their marketing department.

In addition to this, the business has strengthened its executive team with the promotion of Mark Rigby to managing director earlier this year and moving Graham Peak, Michal Tesar and Rebecca Dollman into the roles of head of operations, head of technical operations and head of marketing and business process, respectively.

The business has now taken on head of online Sales, Dale Crichton and head of development, Michael Brigden.

Crichton joined Insurance Revolution from Insurance Online with 10 years experience in insurance working for Axa, Autonet and RAC. Brigden comes to Insurance Revolution after almost five years working at Markerstudy in varying roles.
