Manchester is top performing office for national tech recruiter

A £28m turnover tech recruitment firm says its Manchester office has outperformed its flagship London headquarters by 37% so far this year, evidence it says of the strength of the region’s economy and testament to its thriving tech talent community.

Tech recruiter onezeero. which has offices  in Manchester city centre as well as  in London, Birmingham and Leeds, says Manchester has out performed its other offices for the last three quarters.

Part of the Impellam Group and a sister company to Lorien Rescouring, the company employs 60 people in total, with 12 based in Manchester and plans to grow that number to 16 by the start of the New Year.

The Manchester operation, set up in 2010,  has seen 24% year-on-year growth, with overall turnover up by £1.1m to date against previous year, from £4.7m to £5.8m.

James Davies, director for onezeero, said: “An element of north/south rivalry in business is, I believe, not only healthy but often to be positively embraced.  At onezeero. we actively publicise our UK performance league tables office to office, the results of which we bolster with an array of incentives.

“I am thrilled our Manchester team have continued their momentum by topping our regional performance league tables consistently this year and vitally, their growth does not appear to be slowing down any time soon.

“Our skilled tech recruiters in Manchester are locals and subsequently extremely proud of the surge in the economy and tech scene the city is currently enjoying, and I know for sure they can’t wait for the journey ahead.”
