Brown Shipley buys Manchester rival

WEALTH planning, investment management and private banking specialist Brown Shipley is to acquire fellow Manchester company The Roberts Partnership.

Roberts is a financial planning and wealth management company with seven advisers and £450m of funds under management.

The acquisition is part of Brown Shipley’s strategy to build and deliver a leading financial advice proposition for its clients.
 
The Roberts Partnership will further enhance Brown Shipley’s regional presence and its wealth planning service to clients. The Roberts Partnership has a national presence with particular expertise in wealth planning.
 
The acquisition will complete on November 1, when The Roberts Partnership will become a subsidiary of Brown Shipley and will ultimately join its Manchester office based in on Hardman Street in Spinningfields.

With a heritage spanning more than 200 years, Brown Shipley provides investment management, wealth management and private banking services to a range of clients.

It is a UK authorised bank and is part of KBL European Private Bankers (KBL epb), a leading European private banking network operating in 50 cities across eight European markets.
