Law firm unveils new European managing partner

INTERNATIONAL law firm Squire Patton Boggs has unveiled Jane Haxby as the firm’s European managing partner, based in Manchester.

Haxby will serve a three-year term effective from January 1 2017 and will also sit on the global board.

She succeeds Peter Crossley who served as the firm’s European managing partner for 12 years.

Haxby joined the firm as a trainee in 1993 and became partner in 2001.
 
She served as managing partner of the firm’s Manchester office and in 2013 was appointed Chair of the global corporate group for EMEA.
 
In 2014, Haxby was recognised in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 for corporate.

Throughout her career Haxby has focused her practice on advising public and private companies on all aspects of corporate finance generally with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, reorganisations and general corporate structuring.

Squire Patton Boggs has also announced that Fred Nance has been appointed global managing partner, US. He will also serve a three-year term and serve on the firm’s global board, succeeding partner Steve Mahon.
