Lucky 13th year of profit growth for cloud specialist

MANCHESTER-based managed and private cloud service provider ANS Group is celebrating its 13th consecutive year of profit growth.
Results for the 12 months to March 31 show revenue rose to £46.2m (2015: £45.7m) and its business has continued to shift towards delivering higher margin managed services.
Adjusted EBITDA increased to £6.8m (2015: £6.1m) allowing for exceptional items relating to the company being taken private this year, the annualised EBITDA runrate being in excess of £8m as at March 2016.
Managed services and associated professional services now represents more than 80% of overall gross profit and this continues to be the strongest growth area of the business and typically involves long-term contracts and recurring revenues with strategic customers.
Chief operations officer Paul Shannon said: “ANS is now positioned in the market place as a true cloud service provider offering both private and public cloud solutions and also the supporting connectivity.”
ANS has enjoyed a host of significant new business wins in both public and private sector from organisations such as Euro Car Parts, ODEON Cinemas, Healthcare at Home, The University of Nottingham and Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen NHS Foundation Trust.
In line with this, ANS has turned its attention to providing industry-leading software defined and Hybrid WAN connectivity, linking together public and private clouds, enabling its customers to adopt intelligent, application and location aware network.
