Managing director of engineering firm passes away

THE managing director of Liverpool-based civil and structural engineering consultancy company Sutcliffe has passed away peacefully at home with his family.

John Sutcliffe, 67, founded the family-run company in 1985, but had been battling cancer for the last two years.

The firm operates predominently in the Merseyside and North West areas.

The company’s website said: “Our deepest sympathy to all his family, friends and colleagues at this extremely difficult time. John will be greatly missed by us all.”

Its core activity is civil and structural engineering, but it is a multi-disciplinary practice providing expertise also in geotechnical and environmental site investigations, infrastructure design and flood risk analysis and project safety.
