New FD for listed agri business
CHESHIRE-based NWF Group, the specialist agricultural distribution business delivering feed, food and fuel across the UK, has appointed Christopher Belsham as its new finance director.
Belsham, age 41, will take up the role of group finance director from June 2017.
He qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in 1999, before joining KPMG Corporate Finance where he spent 15 years working on a broad range of transactions for both public and private companies across the UK.
In 2014, Belsham joined Irwin Mitchell as an equity partner and head of corporate finance, responsible for leading on strategic acquisitions for the business.
As finance director Belsham will work closely with the experienced divisional and central finance teams as well as supporting the board in delivering the group’s strategic goals.
Richard Whiting, chief executive of NWF, said: “I am delighted that Chris will be joining us. He is someone I have worked with previously in his advisory capacity and I look forward to his excellent knowledge and expertise benefitting the group going forward.”
The appointment comes after its previous finance director Brendon Banner stepped down from the board at the end of August.
