Ethical energy brokerage bidding to ‘box off’ £500K for charity

A BOLTON-based energy consultancy is claiming to lead the way in ethical purchasing with a £500,000 donation pledge.

A philanthropic not-for-profit energy brokerage, which has just made donations to charity of more than £20,000 and is already on target to donate to key charities £100,000 over the next year and £500,000 over the next three years.

Box Power says its “unique ethical” positioning has proved to be a huge success to the clients it manages and to the charities that they support.

Its success has already enabled donations of £20,000 plus this month to key charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Bolton Hospice and Autism charities Kidz2gether & Breaking Barriers.
 
Box Power CIC was the brainchild of its chief executive and well-known industry veteran Corin Dalby, who wanted to make a clear difference within the industry by showing it was possible for business users to make ethical choices with their energy purchasing and for a lower cost.

The company specialises in procuring and managing the energy for large businesses and multi-site users.

It is comprised of a team of industry experts, each with major experience and whose clients have peace of mind, in knowing that they have the maximum buying influence and supplier buying interest to ensure they access the very lowest prices and best deals. 

Dalby runs the company with his wife Tricia who is chief operations officer.

“Corin’s generosity will help us to provide our specialist care and support for local people facing life-limiting illnesses and their families, whether it be in our inpatient unit, through day therapy and outpatient clinics or in patients own homes through our Hospice at Home service.
