Law firm pulls off £250m deal with mystery investor

Howard Gill

Manchester-based Nabarro partners Mark Haywood and Howard Gill acted on the disposal of Kish Twelve, owner of 7/8 St James Square, London, to an unnamed Asian investor at a price thought to be around £250m.

The property comprises an office block (commanding the highest rents in the UK) and an adjoining Lutyens townhouse, both fronting onto the iconic garden square in St James, London.

Mark Haywood said: “This is a deal which reflects resilience post-Brexit, and continuing appetite for prime stock from foreign capital, but just as importantly underscores the strength and vibrancy of the professional services offer in Manchester which can originate and execute such high profile deals.”

Nabarro acted for Irish property company Green Property. David Hawkins of Norton Rose Fulbright led the team acting for the purchaser.
