People on the move: Bespoke Healthcare Holdings; IoD; Landmark Investments Group; WorkMobile; Mapway

Preston-based Bespoke Healthcare Holdings has restructured its board and strengthened its clinical governance team.

Under the new board structure former Lancashire GP of the Year, Manjit Jandu joins as medical adviser, Ben Smith, director at business advisory and accountancy firm Pierce Group, as finance representative and independent PR professional Matt Wells will assume communications and marketing.

Co-owners Gwam and Sara Rajiah retain the titles of chairman and operations director respectively, while Mushtaq Shaikh remains director of intraoperative monitoring.

In line with the company’s planned expansion, the business has appointed senior radiographer Emma Seddon as part-time governance assurance officer to support the clinical governance and risk lead team. She will be responsible for ensuring all the companies policies and procedures are up-to-date.

Seddon will report to governance lead, Karen Ridehalgh and work closely with business and project manager Lesley Walters and the new board.

The managing director and founder of one of Cheshire’s most renown creative and digital agencies, Carpe Diem, has been named as the county’s new chair of the Institute of Directors.

Bill Carr, who has been a member of the IoD’s regional committee for more than two years, has been appointed chair of the IoD’s Cheshire branch and the new role will see him fly the flag for businesses in the region, giving them a voice on the IoD national stage and helping the organisation promote business growth in the area.

Small business mentor Carr, 40, will also help launch the IoD Advance concept to businesses in the north this year. IoD Advance focuses on expanding opportunities and access to professional development and peer-to-peer networks.

An experienced entrepreneur and investor, Carr established innovative website design and digital marketing agency Carpe Diem in Warrington in 1999.

Under his leadership, Carpe Diem has also grown into one of the UK’s major independent agencies, counting international brands such as GlaxoSmithKline, Asics and New Balance as clients.

He said: “The Cheshire branch of the IoD has always been a very proactive and engaging force within the local business community so this is a great platform to bring my knowledge and experience to further improve our offering to Cheshire businesses.”

Landmark Investments Group, the Bolton based property investment business, has unveiled Andrew Savage has been appointed as group finance director.

Savage brings his extensive experience to Landmark having spent the past 11 years as finance director at house builder Wainhomes. Before that, he was at Taylor Wimpey.

Landmark Investments Group is widely known as a leader in the field of ground rent investment and management having placed £185m of ground rent deals into lawyers hands to financial year ended September 30, 2016.

The group finance director role is a new position created to strengthen the financial and management controls across a wide range of companies and assets.  

The role will also sit within Landmark Development Solutions (LDS) which is a new offering being rolled out to developers.

Manchester-based WorkMobile, a cloud-based data capture specialist, has appointed a new business development manager to bolster its expansion plans.  

With more than 10 years’ business development experience, Alex Mansfield will play a key role in helping WorkMobile to expand its services across new sectors and drive the business forward.

Mansfield has worked as a business development manager at a number of software solution providers including AccessPay, Discovery Education and ADP, where he exceeded the businesses’ new sales targets and developed partnerships with a wide variety of corporate customers.

An expert in mobile technology and digital solutions, he has helped to grow the customer base of a number of businesses across various sectors.  

In his new role at WorkMobile, Mansfield will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities within new and existing sectors and building long term relationships with new clients to improve brand recognition and increase market reach.
 
He said: “Having spent a large part of my career involved in the world of cloud based technology and business development, the role at WorkMobile seemed like the perfect fit. I’m extremely excited to be joining this ambitious team and look forward to helping the business grow and exceed its targets.”

Manchester-based app development company Mapway has announced the appointment of Will Whitehead as its new product manager.

The company, known for developing the Tube Map app used to navigate the London Underground as well as apps for the New York Subway and Paris Metro, has recently celebrated achieving 35 million lifetime downloads.

Joining the business from mobile games publisher Chillingo – Electronic Arts, Whitehead’s role at Mapway will include developing the company’s product roadmap and development strategy for the 26 public transport apps within the portfolio.

He said: “For me, Mapway are a company with ambitious plans to build on what is already an impressive track record, having become one of the biggest players in the travel and navigation app market.

“With a huge install base of highly active users and a growing catalogue of apps, which are all of the highest production quality, this makes for a truly great opportunity. I am excited about our future plans and I intend to help deliver further and continued success, cementing Mapway’s position as leaders in the field.”
