At least 250 jobs being created by Convergys

Customer management services specialist Convergys is creating at least 250 jobs at its Bredbury site in Stockport, as part of a new service offering with telecommunications giant BT.

Ohio, US-based Convergys is now actively recruiting for a number of roles across its operational and support functions, to deliver customer service and technical support for BT broadband and phone customers.

The new line of business builds on the site’s long established expertise within the telecommunications sector, yet requires contact centre advisers with a different profile and skillset compared with the telesales work that has typically been associated with the site.

New recruits can expect to receive a comprehensive training programme from BT and Convergys broadband professionals.
