Appointments: New boss for hearing aid giant, and more…
ITALIAN hearing aid giant Amplifon, which has its UK headquarters in Manchester, has appointed Steve Fleming as UK and Ireland market director.

ITALIAN hearing aid giant Amplifon, which has its UK headquarters in Manchester, has appointed Steve Fleming as UK and Ireland market director.

In his new role, Mr Fleming, who joined the company in April last year as sales director, will help spearhead its growth plans.

He takes over his new role from Alessandro Chiono, who will return to Milan to work on a series of major projects for the group.

He said: “Although Amplifon is already the UK’s number one dedicated hearing aid specialist, there is still room for us to expand. We have many exciting initiatives in the pipeline which will secure our market domination.”

SCOTTISH marketing guru Mark Gorman, co-founder of Edinburgh-based 1576 Advertising has been appointed as a board advisor at Corporation Pop.
In his role with the Manchester-based design agency, he will help drive its business and marketing strategy.

LESLEY Lomax has been appointed head of marketing for both New East Manchester and the Manchester City South Partnership.

In the newly created post she will be based in the marketing unit at Marketing Manchester while overseeing the marketing and communication functions of both regeneration agencies.

Ms Lomax spent ten years with IT giant Hewlett-Packard before taking up roles at MIDAS, the inward investment agency, and Manchester Knowledge Capital.
