Freemont wins first contract

THE newly launched Freemont Construction has won its first contract.

The Salford-based company, which is part of the Freemont Group, has been appointed by Thornfield Properties to design and build a marketing suite and show apartment for The Rock development.

The £300m scheme is adjacent to the Moorgate Retail Park and at the heart of the Bury town centre regeneration initiative.

Neil Smith of Thornfield Properties said: “We recognise the pedigree of the new company’s founders and the impressive track record of the Freemont Group and we’re looking ahead to Easter when we will be able to show the public our impressive new facility at The Rock.”

Freemont Construction’s managing director, Martin Wood, added: “Our proposal for The Rock’s marketing suite reflected our areas of expertise and Freemont’s selection for this prestigious assignment means that we’re privileged to be playing an active part in Bury’s town centre revitalisation.”
