Weightmans on target for £60m

LAW firm Weightmans, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leicester and London, has said that it is on target to hit £60m turnover in its current financial year after beating its half-yearly billing target. 

Fee income for the six months to the end of October was up to £26.9million compared with £25.2m a year ago.

“This is a pleasing and positive result,” said the firm’s managing partner, Patrick Gaul. 

“Everybody has worked really hard to produce this outcome and in some areas, markets are still difficult and there is not a lot of work around.

“Our result is a reflection of what we are doing to achieve good results for our clients and if we keep them satisfied then we will get to where we want to be at the end of the financial year.”

In the year to April 30, Weightmans posted a full-year annual fee income of £56.2m.
