JMW Solicitors has appointed Vicky Burgess as an associate in corporate recovery and insolvency.

Vicky joins JMW from Halliwells where she led the personal insolvency team in Manchester for several years.

She will continue to specialise in all areas of personal insolvency, including bankruptcy and individual voluntary arrangements, acting for both insolvency practitioners and debtors.

PRO.MANCHESTER, the organisation that represents the financial and professional services sector, has appointed Catherine Heaton as skills manager.

She has experience in international contracts management and education and joins the team following a role assisting senior operational staff in occupational health.

Catherine from Didsbury said: “I will be enabling academic and financial professional service organisations to come together to share expertise and develop plans for the future.”

WATES Construction has appointed Iain Sutton as commercial manager for the North West.

Iain has been with the group for over 10 years as commercial manager of the group’s interior business in the north of England.
