_space celebrates new frontiers
NORTH East-based architecture and built environment firm _space has hosted an event to mark the first anniversary of the opening of its Manchester office.
The firm opened its Manchester office a year ago today (November 12) to service new project wins and hosted an event at Manchester Art Gallery last night.
“We’ve already forged a lot of ties in the city,” said _space group chief executive, Rob Charlton.
“During our time in the North West, we’ve been able to double the size of our team. We’ve also been able to take on a graduate and offer support to community projects, such as young peoples’ mentoring project RECLAIM.”
The office was set up to service an education architecture project in Knowsley on behalf of Balfour Beatty, but other projects now include the design of Oulton Primary School in Leeds, three schools in Knowsley and a visitor centre for Dunham Massey in Altrincham for the National Trust.
